Tales of the satyr Katergaris, and his friends and foes, as they frolic through ancient myths, battle beasts, and avoid satyr hungry hermits – all with olive wine in hand.
New strips updated every Sunday, and some times an extra strip during the week.
Ah, next arc!
Oo, a new satyr!
But is Taxy a satyr? He’s wearing a loin cloth, which Garis et al don’t wear; and his horns look more bovine. And we haven’t seen his far yet.
Maybe he’s a minotaur?
He doesn’t have a bovine tail :)
He’s simply not… Greek – I guess. As in the drawing in the gallery, Taxi has north Indian-inspired tattoos as well as Scythian ones.
And this is the goat he is inspired by.
Handsome goat! I’ll have to see if I can identify what breed he is.
I love it, but I can’t figure out what it is. I can only find this photo searching “Arabic Goat”.
I found Taxi in the Gallery. he strikes me as Southwest Native American, or even Aztecan/Mayan. I can see now why he’s called “Traveller.” And I loved the expression on Garis’ face! He obviously has something else on his mind, and it doesn’t involve sight-seeing!
Taxi’s regular non-Satyr persona is actually Roma. Though that drawing of him with Garis, his look is based a little of Disney’s Aladdin and Emperor Kuzco, since that’s a style I don’t often work in :)
